Terms of use

Last updated: 14 August 2026

These terms govern your use of Kwoted, including the iOS and Android apps and the website at kwoted.app. By using Kwoted you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app or site.

How we handle personal data is explained in our privacy policy.

Who we are

Kwoted is a quoting app for UK tradespeople. Contact us at support@kwoted.app.

The service

Kwoted helps you price jobs and send branded quote PDFs. With Pro, an accepted quote can become a numbered invoice you send when you are ready. Quotes and customers stay on your device by default. Optional sign-in unlocks receipt scanning, in-app quote email, and (with Pro) cloud backup. Features may change as we improve the product.

Kwoted is quoting software. It is not accounting software, a full job-management suite, or professional tax, legal, or financial advice. You remain responsible for prices, VAT, scope, and anything you send to a customer.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 and able to form a contract under the laws of England and Wales. If you use Kwoted for a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business to these terms.

Accounts

Sign-in (email code, Google, or Apple) is optional for local quoting and required for scans, quote emails, and Pro sync. Keep your sign-in details secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.

You can delete your account in the app (Profile → Delete account) or request deletion at kwoted.app/delete-account. Deleting a Kwoted account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription — cancel Pro in the store if you want billing to stop.

Free and Pro

Unlimited local quotes and branded PDFs on your device stay free. Free includes a monthly allowance of AI receipt scans and quote emails. Kwoted Pro is an optional in-app subscription for unlimited scans, unlimited quote and invoice emails, numbered invoices when a quote is accepted, cloud backup, and a customer accept/decline link. Pro is billed through the App Store or Google Play, not on this website. Prices shown on kwoted.app are indicative; the store listing is the contract for payment.

Subscriptions auto-renew unless you cancel in the App Store or Google Play according to Apple's or Google's rules. Refunds, billing disputes, and payment methods are handled by Apple or Google, not by Kwoted.

Insider Pro during launch

If you join as an Insider during the initial launch phase, we may grant you Pro access at no charge for that period, as described when you sign up. We may end or change the launch offer. Insider status is personal and not transferable.

Your content

You keep ownership of quotes, customer details, business profile information, logos, and receipt images you put into Kwoted. You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and transmit that content solely to provide the service (for example scanning a receipt, emailing a PDF, or syncing Pro data).

You must only enter data you are allowed to use. You are responsible for handling your customers' personal data lawfully under UK GDPR when you use Kwoted for your business.

Acceptable use

You must not:

  • misuse the service, probe or disrupt our systems, or attempt unauthorised access
  • reverse engineer the app except where the law allows
  • use Kwoted to send spam, unlawful content, or quotes you know are fraudulent
  • resell or sublicense the app, or share a single paid account as a commercial service to others
  • scrape the website or abuse the Insider list, contact, or API endpoints

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe these terms have been broken.

Intellectual property

Kwoted, the Kwoted name and logos, and the app and website (excluding your content) are owned by us or our licensors. You may use the app and site only as these terms allow. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute our branding or software except as permitted by law or with our written consent.

Third-party services

Kwoted relies on third parties to operate, including Apple, Google (sign-in, Play Store, and Gemini for receipt scans), RevenueCat for subscriptions, Resend for email, and hosting providers. Their terms and privacy policies apply to their services. We are not responsible for those third-party services except as the law requires.

Availability

We aim to keep Kwoted available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, error-free operation, or that scans, email, or cloud sync will always succeed (including when you are offline, over quota, or when a third-party service is down). Local quotes on your device remain available without a network connection.

Disclaimer

Kwoted is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that quotes, VAT calculations, or extracted receipt lines are complete or accurate — you must check them before sending.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be limited under English law.

We are not liable for lost profits, lost work, undercharging, missed jobs, loss of data you could have exported or backed up, or indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability to you for claims arising from Kwoted in any 12-month period is limited to the greater of £50 and the amount you paid us for Pro in that period (store fees kept by Apple or Google are not amounts paid to us).

Website Insider list and contact

If you join the Insider list or send a message through kwoted.app, you confirm the details you submit are accurate and that we may email you about Insider Pro access during launch or to reply to your enquiry. We do not sell those addresses.

Changes

We may update these terms. The “Last updated” date at the top will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms. If a change is material, we will try to give reasonable notice (for example in the app or by email if you have an account).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except that if you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK you may also bring a claim in your local courts.
